Aukey USB C Adapter Unboxing

Hi Fellow Geeks/DIYers,

I wanted to share with you all my unboxing of the Aukey USB-C adapters. USB 3.0 to USB- C and USB-C to Micro USB 2.0. Two of these adapters aid you in converting micro usb to USB- C. They are small and light weight and help you so you do not have to carry another cable with you. One adapter helps converting a USB 3 to USB-C and it can help you when you transfer data from one usb deceive and to help charge another phone. Having different cables is always a good thing but there are times when an adapter is a better choice. I really try to carry cables with me almost wherever I go. You might need to charge, might need to transfer or be that guy that lends it to someone else. I like the idea of an adapter instead of another cable, one less thing to carry and you have more than one connectivity option. I have a USB micro adapter and USB mini cable and I use them all the time on my desk and these Aukey adapters will go right with them and be carried around as well.

Dimensions and drawings will be coming. I am working on putting them up online in the near future..

DIY WorkBench | Garage Workbench | DIY Garage Bench | Garage Work Table

Hi Fellow Geeks/DIYers,

I made this video on how to make your own DIY Workbench. I needed some kind of table top to work on badly, I only had a small Black and Decker adjustable bench or a set of horses to do everything on. They worked great but some things need to be done on a bigger surface. I also needed a better place to put my tools. The bench is 4 feet wide, 2 feet deep and about 35 inches high. The bench is made out of 2” x 4”s, 2’ x 4’ pre-cut plywood, 1 1/4” screws, 3” screws, 1 1/4” pocket hole screws, rolling wheels and a door handle. The Workbench can be used in the garage, in a shed or just about anywhere. The middle shelf can be set to almost any height, be sure to leave yourself enough room between the top and the bottom pull out. I set it high enough to keep items I use alot and not have to reach too far down for. The bottom pull out is totally optional but is very handy when your trying to get some things way in the back in the bottom that you normally cannot reach. I am glad I made it.

Dark Sky Weather App | Weather on Mobile | Weather on the Web | Weather App

Hi Fellow Geeks/DIYers,

I made this video to show you all the Dark Sky App. Dark Sky is a really good app for seeing weather information that is local or in another location. Dark Sky is very accurate the closer you get to current time. It allows you to see an extended forecast as well as current weather.  The Dark Sky app is available for Android as well as Apple devices. Check out the corresponding app store for current prices. Dark Sky is also available through a browser as well, view-able on many other platforms like PCs, MACS, Chromebooks and more.

I have seen Dark Sky accurately predict the current weather many times. I cant tell you how many times I was mowing the lawn and checked Dark Sky. It said I have 30 min or so before it was going to rain. I would rush to get done and within the time it said, it happen but the mower and I stayed dry.

Streaming Box TV Mount | Apple TV Holder | Roku TV Holder

Hi Fellow Geeks/DIYers,

I created a video review of the Streaming Box TV Mount from ONN. It is made for the Apple TV, Roku and other similar streaming devices. This mount allows you to put those devices on top of your slim TV or monitor without much effort. There are times you need to put it higher than the TV. This little devices helps it stay on top and gives it a clean look. We did this in one of our rooms to not only have it look better but also help it function better. Sitting lower it was harder to have it respond to the remote. With the device higher, it sees that remote each and every time.

Make sure you double check the manufacture website to make sure it will work with your device if you decide to get one yourself.

DIY Wine Bottle Box : Holder | Wine and Glass Carrier | Rustic Wine Carrier

Hi Fellow Geeks/DIYers,

I put together a video showing how I made a Wine Bottle Box / Holder. I made it so that it would hold either two bottles of wine or a bottle of wine and two glasses. This was a fun build to do even though I did it in a cold garage. I love using tools to make things and had fun with my Ryobi cordless tools and my Kreg Jig. I only had my imagination, wine bottle and glass to use. I also told my wife what I was doing and she gave me some great inspiration and ideas on it as well. I wanted to make this nice enough to give away as a gift and I think it turned out very well.

Check out my video on youtube.com below. It can also be found at this link
